350-unit variant of the Mazda MX-5 Miata with a reinforced chassis, a fixed roof and a power bump.
Give it a straight-six and you have a proper gentleman's sports car/shooting brake, minus clownshoe jokes.

Hum... I like it.
But as an owner of one, this car is so much versatile because you can do both.
clip the hard-top on it and it feels solid.
Fold the soft-top and you got yourself an instant pleasure ride.

That is a very good looking car. It has all the classic sports car proportions in all the right places.

A permanent roof is always stiffer, though. For fast hard driving, a coupé beats a drop-top.
Depends what you're buying it for as to which is best, of course.

JDM-only though, but I've seen for two for sale in Japan and I believe the asking price was *just* 11 or 12 grand.

Agreed, an mx5 without 10,000 miles of headroom doesn't feel right

Now this is a Miata I could buy, and not feel slightly guilty about...

I'd love to get one of these hard tops. with the duck tail i think it looks even better than the factory attempt.
